Best Theme Music And Soundtracks

No film is complete without an excellent soundtrack to accompany it. There are some films where the music is just something put behind the visuals, but others absolutely nail it. Certain film soundtracks are so good, they can be listened to them as a stand-alone musical piece. In no particular order, below is a list of some of my favourite film theme music.

HARRY POTTER

What more can I say. Harry Potter is definitely an ultimate musical masterpiece. Just listening to ‘Hedwig’s Theme’ alone enough to get the entire fandom tearing up. The soundtrack for all of the Harry Potter films are just so epic that it’s hard to simply look over and not appreciate.

INDIANA JONES

The theme tunes for Indiana Jones is another epic musical piece and is easily iconic. In my opinion, also one of the most recognisable soundtracks, from the first few seconds only one knows they are listening this incredible films soundtrack.

STAR WARS

Speaking of epic-ness, the Star Wars theme song is most definitely high on the list. Just listening to you can imagine the opening crawl starting to scroll up on the screen, telling us all about the galaxy far, far away.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

Honestly, this is probably one of favourites on the list. There’s just something about it that makes me want to listen to it over and over again. Titled “He’s a Pirate”, this is one that is sure to become a classic, in my books anyway.

LOTR/THE HOBBIT

Just every piece of music from these films is amazing, a perfect combination of relaxing epic-ness. From the sounds of the Shire to the Dwarfs standing around a fire singing “Misty Mountains”, this soundtrack is one to remember.

Those were some of my favourtie film soundtracks and theme songs, but now I thought I would list a few honorable mentions.

PINK PANTHER: “The Pink Panther Theme”

ROCKY: “Gonna Fly Now”

DOCTOR WHO: “Doctor Who Theme Music”

Let me know in the comments what your favourtie film theme song is!
